Civil War comes to Treeton school!

E-mail Print PDF

Representatives of the Sealed Knot re-enactment society will be visiting Treeton CofE Primary School as part of an educational project arranged by the School and Treeton Local History Group, in the week leading up to the re-enactment event taking place on 11-12th July.

Local children will get the opportunity to meet the reenactors 'in character' and learn something about this critical time in English history, as well as getting the opportunity to  see close up and first-hand the clothes and equipment of the period.

This will be followed up on the days of the battle event itself, where a 'living history' encampment will  provide visitors with a real taste of period life in 17th century England.

Our picture shows Graham Webb of the Sealed Knot demonstrating the finer points of musketry to students from the school on an early visit.
